FIRST-EVER SIMULTANEOUS RELEASE OF A VIDEO GAME, SOUNDTRACK CD, AND MUSIC VIDEO
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (October 27, 1994) PF. Magic, a leading interactive
entertainment company, has announced the first-ever simultaneous release of a video game, soundtrack CD and music video. The joint release is in sync with PF. Magic╒s commitment to providing a ╥total entertainment experience╙ for the consumer.
PaTaank is PF. Magic╒s hot new video game for the 3DO Multiplayer. The game spawned a full soundtrack CD -- Torcano, developed by Interactive Audio, and a music video, by H-Gun Labs, based on the music and action-packed gameplay.
╥PaTaank gives players three entertainment experiences in one,╙ said John Scull, Managing Director of PF. Magic. ╥They can play a challenging and kinetic game, listen to a hard-driving soundtrack CD, or rock with the music video.╙
The music for PaTaank was developed by San Francisco-based Interactive Audio at the same time PF. Magic was developing the game. PaTaank is one of the few games available today where the music is as core to the gaming experience as the gameplay itself. Inspired by the game╒s music, Interactive Audio developed a 9 track, 40-minute CD called Torcano. Torcano will be released simultaneously with the game.
To further enhance the experience, Chicago╒s H-Gun Labs, a cutting-edge music video production company, created a music video that combines the music from the Torcano music CD with the fast and furious 3D game play from PaTaank. PF. Magic will be distributing the music video to clubs across the country in November in order to promote the CD and game.

PaTaank is the first 3-D pinball thrill-ride ever delivered. The game is being distributed worldwide in the US, UK and Japan by Crystal Dynamics under an ╥affiliate label╙ relationship. PaTaank pushes the limits of the 3DO Multiplayer╒s amazing 3-D graphics, speed, video, stereo, music and sound effects. The game provides the exhilaration of an amusement park ride, with the challenge of an action-packed pinball game.
Interactive Audio is well-known in the music and multimedia industries. They created and co-produced last year╒s award-winning interactive music CD-ROM, Rock, Rap╒n Roll, and are currently completing the sequel Rock æn Roll Your Own.
